First off, this thread is strictly to share your personal highest speed achieved in your E55 and to discuss the cars Aerodynamic abilities, Engine, Brakes and other supporting mods that would help achieve the highest top speed possible in the W211 chassis.

If your going to post jibber jabber like, "You shouldnt be speeding" or bagging on others for it, we all already know how dangerous it is and the reprecussions that one can suffer if something does not go according to plan. If you fit the discription, please save us all the headache and dont post at all

157 for me. I'll push it when I get new tires and a GPS that will tell me my speed since I only have the 160mph speedo...haven't done it since my mods so I'm sure I'll get there even quicker next time.

I felt like the car had enough umph to hit the 200 milestone, but ultimately 184 is a lot faster than I had ever thought it would be so I backed off for the time being. But given my age id think that 184 should suffice for quite some time.

I only hit 155. I dont know if my limiter kicked in or not cause I let go of the gas on my own. But even at those speeds its still hauling @$$

I too have only hit 155. I was rollin to EDIT***a land far, far away***EDIT and suddenly the power cut, so I look down and I hit 155.

BUT

Now that I have gotton rid of the limiter, I wonder how fast I can go...

Quick note. My speedo in the 03 only goes to 160mph.

Everyone said that when you peg the speedo, the digital mph keeps working. Ehhhh, it doesn't. Least in mine it didn't. Pegged digtally at 160.

Too scared to take it to 190-200 so I wimped out at 160-170.

157 and then it wouldn't go any faster. That was done on a private track in Mexico...

Actually ZR is up to 186mph. ZR (Y) rating is 186+. I have hit 190.5mph (GPS) a couple times. Pretty uneventfull in the Black Series. I'd like to break the 200mph barrier but the $ involved in safely doing so is not justified in my opinion.

As the photo below indicates, 157 annd still pulling hard. The speedo is quite accurate, as it indicated 158. It was still pulling very well when the limiter kicked in.

And there is a time based element to the rating as well so you could more than likely take a ZR rated tire up to +200mph if you don't stay there all day long.

206, done it 3 times, that is a GPS validated speed. I think that is all she's got for now, I think it's hitting an aero wall, I would assume my front splitter and larger rear spoiler are costing me a few MPH.

Not easy in Cali I know this---- the M6 Florida boys clear 200 all the time though...
