That is really what matters. The fact that they have tuning capabilities and great customer service is a perfect combo. Tunes take time and LET is coming along nicely.

Im not trying to flame Wayne but I'm not happy with his capabilities he was unable to get my AFR's right and couldn't raise my rev limiter...

Serious? Give better details. When was this? When he had a shop and resources? All tuners have issues. The question is how was it handled?

10/11/08 at function tuned. It's not a big deal I think my combo of mods threw him a curve ball and he had a lot going on that day. Like I said before I'm not trying to make him look bad I think he is a nice guy and he did a lot of good for the other guys that got tuned that day. In the end he put my stock tune back in and that was it.

Got it. What base car are you on? CLK? I assume he has experience with those? If not, it takes time (IMO) to get your hands around each platform. All you can ask of anyone is to give it a try and be careful NOT to toast anything. It looks like that happened. I know of plenty of people that would have pushed it to get that money and may have ended up harming your ride.
I'm not defending Wayne, actually I don't like him. And it looks like you are handling it right and just being honest.

Edited... guess I didn't get the good word. LOL

That reminds me... huge thanks to Torey/Chris at Excessive Motorsport for allowing me dyno time to get my car tuned. Really appreciate it!

Congratulations Almo. I, too, have benefitted from Wayne's expertise and dedication. At the track, my traps increased by nearly 10 mph and on the street my car pulls like I have 2 jet engines strapped to the back. Although it cost me a couple cases of Red Bull, it was worth every ounce.

That occurs when a pulley is installed with no tune. One could also tell how rich the car was from the exhaust tips being so black shortly after a clean.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. It was great to meet you, Almo, and work on your car.

It was also nice to see the guys from Excessive Motorsports again. They have a clean, professional shop...it's a pleasure to work there.

For those who can't read between the lines, I'm easily swayed by the offer of Red Bull.

There was no issue with your combo or A/F. If you didn't have a 200-shot sitting on top of the car, we could have made about 30-35 RWHP.

As it stood, I pulled a huge amount of timing for your nitrous, smoothed the A/F, and matched the stock power numbers on several degrees LESS timing than you had in it.

The shift point issue was TCU-related. Look for our TCU tune before the first of the year...

I had the opposite experience....my car came in with a 10:1 a/f and left with a 12:1 a/f ratio with the speed and rev limit raised, and only started to go south when the car got hot.I own and operate a shop with a dyno....that man can tune his a$$ off.he really knows his stuff.....but one complain apposed to so many compliment is not bad....give him another chance he will get it right.

wayne shift point wasnt my issue that was blackbenzz my problem was revlimter and as far as A/F stock i was at 12.5 after your tune i was 11.8 not good for n/a car.

yes its true you showed a power gain after the tune but it was only the difference from stock pull being in 3rd gear 296hp post tune 3rd gear 294hp and your tune in 4th gear 300hp

you only pulled 4 degree of timeing not a huge amount!

4 degrees less but making the same power, that's pretty decent even in NA form.

nice numbers..

I'm scheduled to get my tuning done soon.. full write is in order.

I have driven my car for 2 years will an ASP pulley

Over 1 year with a bigger HE and CM30.

so I have controlled IAT's so far.. but my top end is not where it should be.

The missing piece will be fixed hopefully this week-end.
