2001 audi TT roadster
direct gasoline injection
Various publicactions have stated that all 2004 Mercedes vehicles will have direct gasoline injection. Does anyone know what this does? Also, will the E55, which is supposed to be come to the US as an early 2004, have this feature?

bakiro, welcome to the Forum.
From what I have read the DI gas engines are a couple years away. Earliest time frame 2005 "model year". If the engines are ready in 2004 they would be put in 2005 cars.
It appears that all 2004 models will be the current technology - 3 valve/twin plug type. 2004 E55 is not DI. Perhaps the 2005 E55 may have it. No one knows for sure.
