Just remember, MB Dealers have priority on the available MB crop for used cars and lease returns and they have access to Mannheim Auctions... If the MB Dealers pass on a particular car, there's usually a very good reason... Check it out meticulously before you buy so you know what you are getting into...

There's a lot more to these prices: Buy fees, post sale inspection, green light , yellow light, red light, uni body, accident data, paint work, etc. I have seen many guys loose their azz at the auctions. Also the car should be inspected an ready for retail sale. IT'S NOT A GAME OUT THERE. They will take your $$ and run Good Luck

Honestly - even if the cars were cherry - how many dealers are going to go our and buy E55's to bring back and sell?
They lose value every day - heck - they'd be upside down by the time the transporter dropped them off. I think you'll see more nicer E55's and other luxury cars at auctions - the dealers don't want that kind of inventory and the lease companies or dealers want them converted to cash ASAP.

04 - 06 e55 Wagon - looking for
According to AMX questionnaire (I'm pretty sure it was AMX), their most wealthiest household will cut 20% of their discretionary spending in 2009. The average household will cut 10% in 2009. I'm pretty sure with the economy, they have already started and are cutting out more spending.
I have an acquaintance who's husband is GM for Honda. Honda is not selling cars and had to layoff a number of workers. Prepare for more V8's to be auctioned off or on the market. Also, most of the ALT-A loans have not reset. So we the worst has yet to come.
