Cls AMG exhaust same as W211 E AMG exhaust
I have been hearing that the mufflers and inputs are indetical on the two cars. Can anybody confirm this

I've never compared them in person, but my guess is that the tips are in different locations such that the CLS tips wouldn't align with the spacers in the rear bumper cover on an E55. I do know some of the aftermarket companies that offer CLS systems show different rear muffler numbers between the E55 and the CLS55, while showing the same numbers for other shared parts in the exhaust systems (e.g., Supersprint). That leads me to believe there must be some difference, but I don't know what it might be or that for a fact there is an actual difference, not having seen a CLS55 muffer in person while it's not mounted on the car. But if I had to wager money, I would bet there are differences between the two.
