Try Bridgestone 050 PP's, Goodyear GS-D3, heck even Yok ES1000's I thoguht were better. Did I mention ALL are way cheaper to boot

i have 19" PS2s and they were not to bad. i was able to cut a 1.9 60" on them at the track. now that it got cold here, the ps2 do not grip well since they are summer tires.
keep in mind that with a 19" tire you are loosing sidewall, and the lower profile you go the stiffer the sidewall will get. the stiffer the sidewall the worse launching will be, but overall handling will be tighter.

I do agree that the PS2's are expensive so I plan on trying the Bridgestone RE-01 R next. Anyone have any feedback on them?

+1 on the Vredsteins. I've had mine for a month and love them. I've made about 20 passes on them at the track and they hook up great. With bad track prep I still pull consistent 1.90's.

heh
none of these tires are gonna let you hook up. But if you want something sticker I really liked the Michelin Pilot Sport CUPS. (R compound tires)
The BFG R1 R-compound I think were even sticker but they have extremely square sidewalls. They were also noticably noisier than the Michelin PSCs. The BFGs also wore incredibly fast ... but with a 40 treadware, who can complain.

i've consistently run 1.71 60ft times on toyo t1r 285/30/19's...and yes, this is their street tire, NOT their "r" compound! obviously, track prep has a lot to do with those times but i don't think any other street tires are going to get you any better launch than that.

The way it looks,i might have to go to 18"wheels and tire to get the car to hook up...I am in the process of doing some modification that is even gonna raise my tq figures even higher.I can easily go back to my factory rims, and i would be ok,but i want the car to look good with some aftermarket rims, and also fly.
For those of you who have used the following tires, how do you rate them by order of 1,2 and 3. 1 being the best, and so forth.
Vredsteins,Michilin Pilot Sport Cup R Compound,BFG R1 R Compound ,Michilin PSC.

I am currently running Vredsteins 285 25 R20 and they seem to hook up nicely. Good traction, good treadwear and quiet. I think these are better then PS2's and T1R's by far. Not to mention this is the same company that makes our spare tire

1. MPSC
2. BFG R1
3. MPS
I really liked the sports cups because they actually do quite well in wet weather as well. ( i was very surprised at this)
I still have a few other R compounds to try and also a drag radial or two.
