Version Coding?
so MJ50 has me intrigued when he mentioned that he had "Version Coding" done to it.
what can be done? what SHOULD be done He has fuel remaining on his miles to empty display and that seems to be the tip of the iceberg and I'd like that.
Thanks

Engine fan temp lowered...Fans come on early
Vmax changed...(Speed Limiter)
Rain sensor for sunroof/windows close
Fuel miles/gallons
Radio presets from random
seat belt chime delete
Head rest setting set wont change when seat is all the way back
lower ride height
right outside mirror tip with reverse
Calendar day/month/year
Basic TPMs via ABS signal
Alarm chirp delete
And More....
Dealer SDS will not allow several settings to be changed
But Developer SDS will (IF) You know how

That's what I was looking for. I am familiar with the normal ones (Vmax, ride height, Rad fan, Right side mirror, seat belt and alarm chirp delete) I was more interested in the less common ones like Fuel Remaining.

Minimum $200 just to hook up the car. Very few people have or know how to use the developer series, so be careful who you allow to touch your car. I know many that have "played" and paid.
The one who knows the most about the features (since he has them all on his wife's car ) may be the best to ask for a recommendation.
Damn Mark, I was gonna leave this newb hanging.....

BTW, like I said before, these are NOT features that a trained wrencher would even know. I simply know more than you about some MB features because I have been here long enough to have been through much of it and learned. I'm a simple enthusiast and not one that claims to know (like you). Just like all the other egos that come through here, you will soon learn that you bring much more to the table when you offer it rather than try to force it. we have plenty of )OG knowledge and know how around here (myself NOT included) so we aren't exactly going to bow or even care if you stay...........Well, unless you have a way to make the 63s faster than the 55ks...

And? A newb is a newb, regardless. Why? Because they do not know their way around here and yet choose to stomp.
I never meant to imply you are stupid or not full of knowledge that can be applied here. It just would have been nice if you had 20 posts under your belt before you decide to de-rail another member's legitimate request for cost savings.
The derailment of this thread is no different. Mark was nice enough to post the partial list, instead of telling you to search. Not only do I know about them, I have many on my car, LOL!!!
