Going wider on wheels

Hi all,

My stock wheels are 225/55/16s on all 4s (4matic) ... I'm planning to go 245/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear BUT without getting a heavy steering or suspension Issues (I dont know if its a rack n pinion steering sys, I know those get hit hard when you go wider on front tires)

Pls advise if the newer 06s that came stock with 245s front have a heavier power-steering pump (Do I need to swap that out as well ?) What else might need an upgrade ?

Replace it when you need it. The little bump in width you are doing isn't a big deal.

Be careful with the rolling diameter because 4matic is very picky with changes.
