HID fog light problems/help needed

I recently had an HID foglight kit installed in my 06 E55. My first problem is that the fogs will only work if I switch the lights on before I start the car, and sometimes even doing that doesn't work, I'll have one foglight on and the other out or sometimes no foglights at all. I've been back to the installer several times but it's obdvious he doesn't Know Mercedes well enough to figure it out, plus he's a friend of a friend and it's not worth it to me to start trouble. My second issue is I would like to get rid the permanent replace foglight bulb message. I know that some of you guys are very knowledgeable when it comes to this kind of stuff, any help you can offer is much appreciated.

your headlight module will not allow the fog lamps to work..you can wire threw another circuit with a relay that doesnt monitor your headlamps and fog lights..like maybe your park lights..or try a mb ballast

A relay won't fix your problem.

You need to add "error cancelers" or resistors.

Are "error cancelers" or resisitors the same as cancelation boxes? because I know that those are already in there. If not would you mind telling me where I can get these and maybe a brief description of how it's done. Thanks.

The harness plug for the fogs plug in either way, try spinning the plug around and replug in then turn lights on then try switching the other side too etc. t'll you tried all combinations this might fix your problem completely.

yes they are. BUT. The MB computer is super sensitive, so if they are using something that's even a little off, it will act funny.

OK cool. I'm gonna try reversing the plugs like Vader55 said. And if that doesn't work where can I get the right cancelation boxes or "error cancelers" for my car? Thank you guys.
