Modding Terminology?

Good luck.
Pulley.....This goes on the crankshaft (the lowest pulley on the front of the engine and smack dab in the middle) and is larger in size, thus spinning the supercharger faster and creating more boost for your engine. More boost means more horsepower.
Throttle body.... Just like an old fashioned carb on the older engines (kinda sorta) . It sprays gas into the engine. Someone discovered that putting a throttle body on the car that has a larger "mouth" or hole in it, allows the car to receive more air more efficiently
Headers.....Mercedes would never use these do to emissions and noise levels so they use stock exhausat manifolds which reduce performance. Headers are like opening a window in your home on a windy day. Suddenly the car can exhale much more easily and rewards you with more power. For a newer guy to modding, you may want to go with a "shorty" header. That is a header that is larger than your stockers, but basically bolt right into place of your old exhaust manifold. Larger sets of headers will require some cutting and welding of your existing exhaust system.
Least that gets you off the ground in the modding world.
You just cannot believe the difference in these cars after modding. Literally is like night and day.
I am out of time so I gotta get moving.
