K4 E55 vs 08 C6 VETTE with cams,head,and exhaust pkg
I have been called out by a C6 vette with head,cams and exhaust pkg.I know that they are light,but how strong are they compare to a K4 in the 1/4 mile?

Doesn't look too hot in your favor. If he's an auto- he will most likely kill you since there will be little room for driver error. I have seen c5 vettes and camaros w/head/cams/exhaust/headers/intake make over 600whp.

If it's an auto, that car can run high 10's at about...128mph if I remember correctly. Depends on how aggressive the camshaft is and if he is hiding anything else. Those boys play with nitrous oxide (Trust me, I know) and there is an easy way to hide the bottle and setup.
But forgetting n2o, if he comes with the right tire setup and knows how to launch his car, it will be VERY tricky to get him. I personally wouldn't want to be in your shoes and go against a cammed auto LS3.
Edit: one more thing the LS2/3 automatic owners do is swap the gears and get it geared for the 1/4 mile. Honestly, just go on corvetteforums and look at the C6 section. A year ago they were in the 10's with just those n/a mods.

No offense but the e55k has no problem at all w/a regular c6 at any speed. I still go to meets and c6's are great cars but nowhere near the e55k in straight line.

I drove an auto LS3 C6 over two days. It was stock, and a pretty even match with my stock E55 in acceleration. I think the E55 has a definite edge over LS2 C6s.

I'm drawing my conclusion from what I've been told my some top Vette tuners in the country and by the 1/4 mile times that have been posted by Vettes with that same exact setup. If he has a K4 with spray then it will be a close race but he may pull it off. If the Vette is hiding a bottle, then it's over.

I currently own an o3/c5 zo6 with pro charger making close to 700rwhp,so i am famaliar with the ls2 c5 motors.
M e55 currently makes 520/560 rwhp/tq respectively with a k4 package,plus a 125 shot of gas.
I have no idea what he makes,but i know that he has an 08 c6 with cams head,and exhaust pkg plus nos.
We have decided not to use gas as its too cold.
I have checked around and found out that the 08/ls3 with head and cam and exhaust makes close to 600rwhp.
Given equal drivers,its a win for the vette all day.These cars runs low 11's-high 10's all day.

if the ls3 makes about 350whp stock. that is aproximately a 250whp gain from headwork, radical cam, lt headers i assume, no cats, and a custom tune. that is crazy.. not to sound like a negative nancy.. but, i dont buy it.

Max, those engines take EXTREMELY well to h/c and boltons. I have seen some crazy figures working with them and on them in the past.

i know the lsx platform is great. its just hard to believe you can get a 250whp gain from top end mods only. i guess its been a little too long since i visited ls1tech.

Just run him and have fun bro. There is always room for driver error if he is not driving an auto. If you're not running for money or pinks- who cares?? Respect the faster car and love your car for what it is. One of the quickest fully equipped 4 doors in the entire world. How many sports cars can claim that?
