So, you’re fitting a supercharger?

YEs I'm fitting a AMG supercharger to my C55. I've got the supercharger, intercooler, airbox, and crank pulley. now i need the supporting pulleys, belts, H/E and hoses. A custom pulley will be made for the supercharger to lower the boost.

cool project. two questions: how much boost do you plan on running, and are the pistons forged or cast?

I ran 8lbs boost with my old e430 with cast pistons and 10 to 1 compression with a compressor. I ran that car from 90k to 135k without any problems from the engine. rwhp and rwtq was 341hp and 351 tq. I believe the NA 55 motors still have cast pistons, but they up the compression ratio to 10.5 to 1. The kompressor 55 motors come with 9 to 1 compression and forged pistons.

You will most likely have to pull timing out via an ecu tune and add fuel to run much boost. I'm not sure about this but I think that the amg kompressor in stock form puts out 11psi.

just my two cents.
