E55 auction prices?
Hi-
I am going to test drive an E55 this week and am wondering if anybody knows where I can get the most recent auction prices for an '05 or '06 with ~25K miles? It might help to have this info in negotiating price. Is there much of a difference in price between identical '05 and '06 for the extra year of warranty? Also, how much extra is it worth to buy CPO?

So an above average '06 E55 is going for $38-$39,000 and by the time one replaces tires,brakes and does the required maintenance it's already at $41-$42,000...tack on another $1500 for CPO and one is looking at $43-$44,000
Point is...yes these cars can be had for mid 30's but then those are average or below average beat up cars...

above average for me was mint condition in and out. costs are service and inspection at dealer, tires still have well over half their life so factoring half $ for that in, and 4k for an mb elw warranty (3 more years and better coverage than cpo)

Ask your dealer. On my C32 years ago, I vaguely recall I had to do it within the first year of owning the car. It seems to be different now on my E55, so either I had that requirement wrong, it's changed since, or my dealer is being accomodating.
