I am going to show up at MIR with my CLS 55 that can hot lap 11.20's (piles of slips but no need to waste my time faxing to DT's) til the cows come home. BTW, what is the 55 record? I'm pretty sure I can beat it with my CLS, especially at MIR. I don't normally get caught up in all this internet record crap, I have real NHRA records, records that actually matter, but you guys have caught my attention and now a newb is gonna take your record. I have a strange feeling the 3 quickest MB's at MIR are going to be from Chi-town, what a slap in the face to you pompass east coast wieners it's going to be! I really have to laugh at you guys that shout out "motor only" when you know damn well a 55 is not "motor only".

To BLACKBENZZ; I'm not really sure who you think you are, but a single 11.0X pass at MIR in 30 degree temps a -2000 DA should not even be talked about in the same sentence with a car that made 5-6 back to back 11.0X passes in 70 degree temps with DA's fluxing from +1600-2000. I'm not on these boards enough to know you, hopefully you are not like some of the others Jim tells me about and you might want to place a wager just to make things interesting, I know Jim loves to make things interesting and hopefully you do too.
You sir, are one of the reasons this board is going to ****. If I wanted to drag race street legal cars I'd be in a turbo Viper or my old Chevelle and vaporize your NHRA records smart guy. If you had followed some of my other posts, you'd know I've had Jim's back during the JR/Jangy trainwreck. Please get a clue and put down the coffee. My point was only that there is a big weight difference between the cars, among other things that make it pointless to compare the 2 (my E55 is a boat, every possible option and my 250 lbs and I still have no problem getting into the 11's with the baby seat in the back). Jim obviously has a huge budget. Even you might be smart enough to know that speed is essentially a question of money, not who's car is better.

you may very well be right because i really don't know who did what for most of the day but 573whpcls said it happened when jim made 5-6 back to back passes and i'm pretty sure that was at the very end of the day. either way, it doesn't matter much as we know da doesn't have the same effect on n2o vehicles.

You are correct, I have a time slip in hand which reads as follows. Imediately after that run the temp air temp was 73 degrees and DA showed just a hair over 1900ft according to the weather station in the Evosport rig.

2:10pm

R/T-.373
60'-1.697
330-4.638
1/8-7.076
MPH-99.87
1000-9.256
1/4-11.053
MPH-126.63

*please note this was not his best pass of the day, just the worst DA of the day. I'd like to know who else posted their best times of the day at 2:00 in the afternoon.

This was the pass that lots of you witnessed and he very clearly had to shut down about 200 ft early. This is clearly evident by looking at the 1/8-1/4 split and MPH split.

All of his other 11.0X passes for the day trappes were 128mph or higher

I just faxed you a bunch of slips, several 11.0x's as well as highest trap and quickest 60' and 1/8 mile. Jim asked if you could post them all for him.

thanks

He ran an 11.053 at 2:10pm, temp was 73 and DA was a hair over 1900. Time slips have been forwarded to Juicee63, hopefully he will post them all shortly.

I know you are not disputing any of his runs, however it does appear you were questioning the time of day in which he posted 11.0's. In your previous post you state they were all done at the end of the day, I was only pointng out that he made his first of several 11.0X passes at 2:10pm. He did manage to string together a 4-5 11.0's in a row between 4:00-5:00pm, as well as made a couple of 11.3X-11.4X N/A passes late in the day as well, he wanted to beat both of his previous bests both N/A and with NOS. as you mentioned is that the DA was probably lower at 4-5:00pm than it was at 2:00pm.

Oddly enough, when you mentioned who else posted their best times at 2:00 pm, I did.

Last time at Famoso, my best times came at 2:00 PM as well. I don't understand it?

Best time in my car was at 2:43 p.m., which temps, I assume, were "slightly" higher than it was when you guys ran

Why are all the best times always at 2 pm at the worst DA? It doesn't make sense, it is like the track just likes that time of day.

shrug

could be temp of the track and better traction ... could be higher DA (lowerhp) better traction ...

The DA didn't fluctuate too badly from 2 to 4.... it dropped gradually maybe 300 ft. or so. Also, they prepped the track at 1:30 and again at 3:20 p.m., which explains the slightly better ET.

I forgot about the re-prep, that probably did it, I had my best 60 foots then.

Also had my best time at the last event at 2:00 pm

At our last event, the high temps were 48 F and DA stayed fairly constant all day varying between 300 to 400 ft, so most runs throughout the day were shared similar DA. If it wasn't for the early rain that day, we would've had ideal conditions

Got em!!!

Looks great , thanks I will get them in the threads , fastest MB and fastest 63

Jim's best pass of that you sent me was 11.067@129.85mph. Everyone please note that the TIMESLIPS are an hour off. Jims Besttrap came at 4:58pm and this was the lowest DA since the first runs of the day at 9a.

For those of you saying best runs at 2pm it was actually 1pm
