Nice shots/pics of W212 AMG interior!!

Interior leave allot to be desired. I could live with the exterior though.
I still think the current 211 model has a far better and cozy feel to it.
I don't know, just my .02 cents

Honestly I don't think my 2006 E55 interior is that impressive at all and for the money I still get a plastic dash. The steering wheel isn't great either; my old 2002 E55 has a better steering wheel. I will wait to see the real thing before I make any judgement. And from the pictures it looks promising.

I'm sorry but, I only like the stuff to the left of the center console. the center console looks like ***. the overall design is a tragedy compared to the W211. They went too far in making the car new.
I will pass on this car and wait for the W213

All about corporate America - er uh -- Germany. Trying to decrease cost to increase revenues. Seems like the interiors are getting plain old cheap looking. Looking at the new W204 vs the W203 you see the same thing. The older interiors just look like they used better quality materials. People can argue about the styling (old vs new) all they want but the quality is sure going south in my book.
I'm not a fan of the new E. When the new C came out the W203's really tanked in value - could we see the same with the W211 to the W212? I'm a W211 buyer if they do......

Steering wheel and instrument cluster aren't that bad. Center stack looks like crap. Hope the i-drive-looking knob (if that is what it is) simplifies and adds more controls, but using a dang button/switch for a particular function seems easier to use than scrolling thru menus, submenus, and more submenus -- kinda like our instrument pod's info center thing, which can get a little annoying at times to me -- just doesn't seem as user friendly, to me, for some reason, compared to ours, but maybe it will provide more control over setting customizations and such, again, assuming it is anything like i-drive. I kinda like the armies of buttons on our stacks. People I know seem to find impressive the vast array of buttons/switches/lights our stacks have, implying lots of luxury options. Clean is one thing, but lots of well-laid out intuitively-marked buttons work for and look fine to me. I still prefer wood grain -- overall interior seems too cold, with excessive use of cheap-looking plastic and def less lux-sporty looking to me. Changes I end up liking can take some time to grow on me, but I don't know about these changes. Again, tails scream HYUNDAI, and exterior lines make it look like a bloated C-class, which I kinda like (the new C, that is, not this new E). Overall, it doesn't look very "benzy" to me. Maybe it'll look better in person, and in AMG trim. Just my opinion.

hmm that pic of the rear is similar to other pics i have seen. HOPEFULLY it will be different or look better in person!
The "E500" badge makes me question that pic all together but again, I have seen other pics with the same ugly rear. The badge should be E550 unless I am not aware of an engine change for the standard v-8 e-class...

I like the new interior, more function with less buttons; but then I am a fan of the new interior aesthetics that began with the W221 S-class.
I agree with most that the least successful of the design portfolio is the rear exterior, especially the taillights, and is now somewhat anonymous and blends in with some Asian marques.
I think, though, Mercedes will make this again the most successful E-class in terms of volume sold worldwide based on the improvements in engineering that's been presented.
Personally, I'd still keep my options open with regard to the W212 until I've had a chance to give it a serious once over and a good test drive. I may still say 'yes'...but at least I won't say no right now without having seen or driven it.
