iphone Questions
All: I'm a low tech guy with a high tech question.
1.What is the difference/advantage between the regular iphone and the 3G version?
2. I hate my phone and was considering getting the iphone, spoke with AWS yesterday and they quit selling phones but she told me that the iphone is fully functional/compatible with out cars that have the second generation BT dongle from MB, correct?
3. Also said that MB is testing the 3G version and will be to market in "6-8 months." Can anyone pls comment if its worth the wait or does getting the 3G make little difference for us?

Get the 3G version of the iphone. It will work with the MB components, but it does not fit perfectly in the MB cradle. Check out the Audio/Electronics forum. Lots of threads on all of this there.

I believe the iPhone cradle charges and uses the vehicle's antenna. It is not required in your situation. The iPhone 3g should work fine with your setup. Also, I think the cradle also allows you to connect to the iPod kit. If those features are important to you, you may want to check out the cradle...

GT3: thats what the people keep saying, they love their iphone. We have the same year car, do you have the second gen. BT dongle for the phone? If you do-is it true that the iphone functions completely with address book loading, recall functions, music mute bla bla bla? Do you have the 3G version and what advantage/difference does it provide over the non-3G one? As soon as I get these concerns addressed me go buy-
