Creak from left front and Airmatic constantly adjusting

So I have recently started hearing a creaking noise coming from the left front of my '03. I only hear it when going over speed bumps etc. However I seem to also be hearing the airmatic adjusting more than usual. For instance it will adjust while driving or under hard braking. Keep in mind I am not adjusting anything from inside the cabin.

From searching here I believe the creaking might be from a bushing that is shot? Maybe the suspension is adjusting itself because the crapped out bushing leads to ride height adjustments when it shoudn't be and the suspension is just compensating??

What say you folks?

my car used to creak like yours, and the dealer replaced some steering components that fixed it. Go figure

I can get the work order and get the parts if you need.

Isnt the airmatic supposed to beadjusting constantly to keep the car level? I never hear it personally.

I may just be hearing it because I am listening extra hard all the time now. Did you encounter actual steering PROBLEMS before you took yours in? Or just a noise?

PSK is scanning the info for us.....

YES, I have been babying my car ever since I began hearing this noise!

It is weird because If I push down on the left front when the car is parked I do not hear anything, so I do not believe its associated with the airmatic. At least I hope it isn't.

Cars with Stars
Hi @all, I found a TIPS information about this noise:
gi46.40-p-039790, the noise only occurs while the car is moving in slow speeds or while parking in moving the steering wheel.
as they did on psk145's car the lower mounting plate of the rack and pinion needs to be replaced (including screws) and thightened according to the torque written in the tips documnet.

E55 AMG
Hey guys. I just joined and just bought a 2003 E55 AMG! The car is unbelievable! I am having the a rediculous amount of squeaking at all times. I have seen posts about bushings and others about the rack and pinion steering. Mine squeaks from both sides. What do you suggest I start with and what is the easiest way to check?

I personally never hear thr airmatic pump when it's on... I do hear the SBC unit recycle here n there... How do you hear the airmatic to determine if it is constantly adjusting?

Squeaking right front side, maybe control arm bushings?

My car recently is having some weird noise when going through bumps. Sometimes when the car is stop, then accelerate. There is some pop, pop pop sounds. I can't tell exactly where is it coming from, could be from roof but most likely from the upper left suspension area.
Would that be consider the steering components failed?

I actually only here it on the passenger front wheel now. I drove over a pretty good bump last night and it stopped making the noise for about a mile then it came back. It only happens when the suspension compresses or rebounds...anyone have an idea?

Talking

I took the right front wheel off and grabbed the rotor and pulled up and down and found nothing, then I pushed and pulled front to back and there was some play. It was the lower ball joint. As soon as I looked under neath I saw the lower ball joint boot was cracked/torn open. I just pried it back far enough to slip the tip of my grease gun in there and filled her up. The squeaking has gone away for now. The left side has the same issue but no noise yet. Anyone have an idea on the cost of replacing the lower ball joints?

Creaking noise from my E63

I took my car to Torrance MB Dealer and they said they put a plate or something by the steering wheel area. But I guess they didn't test it afterall. The creaking noise just still there. Inside the cabin, I can't tell where the noise is directly from the steering, the roof or the suspension. Sometimes I think its the air suspensions. But when I go through some bumps, it was quiet sometimes. But most of the time, it creaks. Especially making turns through the bumps. I also feel some pop sound from the steeling wheel when I accelerate . This noise just bothering me so much. I don't know how these technician trained. It seems like they can't really diagnostic it at all.
