E55 then E63, now back to an E55
Thermostat Benefits
On a 63 car that is mostly stock (Carbon Fiber Airbox) I am wondering how beneficial MHP's thermostat will be...... I understand it will lower operating temps etc, but being as the car is basically straight from the factory, how beneficial will this be? Really having a hard time deciding ..... thanks.....

Lower operating temps are always a plus. The reason newer engines run so hot is mainly b/c it's a shortcut to reducing emissions. But the lower the temps, the more timing advance you can get without having knock, and the more power you can make.
