pulley upgrade reliability
Hi all, I have a 2005 e55 amg which I am looking to boost the power. I live in the UK and there are very few companies offering ecu/pulley upgrades here. The main player is Kleemann and I am considering the stage 1 upgrade. I am concerned of the effects of the power upgrade on the engine/transmission in the longer term. Has anyone had any problems with their cars, specifically engine/transmission damage after a Kleemann or equivalent upgrade over time ie a few years? thanks, regards, Mark

I had the Kleeman pulley and ECU tune for 42000 miles. No problem whatsoever. I recently went to an even larger pulley from VRP. I didn't change out of necessity, but only to try something different. I got great performance increases from the Kleeman package. Also changed to their headers in the next mod and loved that product also.

As we have seen on this board, the biggest issue with pulleys is being able to find someone who knows exactly how to replace them. That means using the correct tools and correctly torquing the bolt. You NEVER want to be someone's first when it comes to pulley installations.
