As far as how fast I was able to run the 1/4 mile...I did it in the exact same time as the factory numbers. But as I've said before, 1/4 mile is not my thing at all. I'd be happy to race you on a road course Ahmad.

And if running 10's in a street car was a priority for me, you can bet I would have already done it. Buying a high mileage older Benz for $20k and strapping an AFTERMARKET blower to it, ain't rocket science.
And just for the record, before you start accusing me of derailing this thread....I made one little comment that had nothing to do with you, then, YOU fire a shot at me about my car being slow. Sure, it's slow compared to yours...but then again I wouldn't be caught dead driving your car. Can you honestly say the same for mine ? Didn't think so....

Or, did you think all AMG owners would be happy knowing their brand new car might break an axle if they push it ?? And the last time I checked the SLR doesn't come with drag radials. Why won't you post up some nice high rez photos of your car as I have asked before - inside and out ?? The reason is your car has been hacked up and you'd rather not let us all see. Correct, it's not rocket science...hence the reason AMG didn't put an igloo ice cooler in the trunk to make it faster - GHETTO. And how did you get your car down to ~3400 lbs ? I'm sure nothing you've taken out has affected it's street ability at all

Go look up the stock weight of a 2001 CLK55 3444lbs! Right I *******ized it down to 3400

I dont have an ice reservoir in my trunk, if you looked at the pic of my trunk in my record breaking thread you would have seen that and there is no bottle. Guess you were too butthurt by me crushing your idol black series numbers. There are PLENTY pics of my car on this forum and on the web and has won several car shows. So keep mouthing off about stuff you have no clue about, it makes you look real smart. At least write a check to someone who can tell you what to say to look halfway smart

Ahmad, I know you were not targeting me in your posts, but I do need to clarify that my car is still 100% a road racing car, the only drag mods I have are a set of street slicks and the NOS system and the line lock, every other mod was done with road racing involved. I still have never played with suspension or camber, my 11.0 passes were made with a Willow springs suspension set up. I also want to add that me car is much closer to stock than your caris. Again, this is not an attack or an attempt to take anything away from you insanly quick times this weekend, I just wanted to clarify the fact.
BTW, I'm still gunning for you, but you have hit the 10 second milestone before me...I think Marcko took it as a wake up call, you guys got way to close to his time this weekend, don't be suprised if we see 9's out of Marko this year, that boy is on a mission.

There is nothing wrong with healthy competition, it brings the best out of all of us. I am very competitive as I know you are as well. Its usually the peanut gallery that has slow cars and are jealous that start hating. I am definitely expecting Marko to come out with much better times the next time he brings the car to a track. He is as dedicated as anyone else on this board and has experience building fast cars. I dont expect to keep up with him and to be mentioned in the same paragraph as him is a great feeling. I said that because I have an ice reservoir at home that I have NEVER used. Should I also mention that my fridge makes ice cubes? Hey genius, the engine creates heat, ice reservoir will help even if its 32 degrees outside! I have never had an ice reservoir in my car and dont even see why I am debating this. Who cares if I did! I can run in 100 degree heat and still wipe the floor with your slow *** car without the aid of a ice reservoir. Hate on hater, Leave it to the peanut gallery

Excuse me ?? MY LOGIC ?? Now you wanna bring philosophy into it ?? No, just because you don't want to run me on a road course does NOT mean your car is a ricer hooptie. What it DOES MEAN however, is that you car is a purpose built 1/4 mile drag car that would get it's *** handed to it on a road course. Furthermore, a road course is the BEST place to judge the overall performance of a vehicle in the real world. Hence the reason why most sports car manufacturers use the "Ring as the bar for which all others cars are judged. It's ok, like I said before, you enjoy yours and I'll enjoy mine...I was not the one to throw the first punch today but you can be damn sure I'll finish it.

I was contacted by Scott and Mario from AMG to purchase one before they went on the raffle and market. I could have purchased one without checking my balance, but decided my car was more practical for taking clients out and other reasons. I have spent more money than I care to admit on my 211 and I have the pink slip. Hell, all of our cars have taken such a dump latley I can't even trade it in for a new Hooptie. LOL . I'm super happy with it and have no regrets.
I learned many years ago in banking to be careful to make assumptions about people and money. Early in my career I helped a smelly old lady that came in carrying her stuff in bags. I treated her with the same respect and was suprised when she returned the next day with a deposit for 6 million. It has happened more times than I can count in the last 20 years. Food for thought.

For the record I have NEVER boasted about my financial status on here. The assumptions that people make based on what I drive are their beliefs that I have not fueled. Please read back and you will see that it was not me, but Ahmad who brought money. Personally, I like my privacy and would not give up my anonymity for any amount of money.
