Mthis.....South Shore, foster.
Mockba......Word of advice. Best way to run against a "stock" E55 car is to make sure he has stock tires, exhaust, intakes, and suspension. If the car is tuned, he will break traction and go nowhere. If your M5 is SMG it's the hardest car to launch, very inconsistant, requires lots of practice and possible a new clutch before you achieve any success.

Srry, my M5 has a Dinan Tune and Diff. Runs high 11's low 12's. I never race on the island, only at track rentals. New police chief and now they will lock you up, especially on the Richmond Pkwy.

I have a 66 big block chevelle that I trailer to Englishtown on occasion. I'll be there on Wednesday 3/18 at 5:00, if you want, I'll bring the M5 along.

Point is well taken, though. I never saw a justification for claiming "stock" if you are not. It never made sense to me.

I work fridays and I'm going to buy my own tires. I want to get the e63 wheels with new tires and put away the stock ones. I won't be able to run either way for a couple weeks. Sundays or Mondays are pretty much my days I can do early runs.

Come to DC (Well, Northern VA)
I am stock, I have already raced a few M5/M6 and E55s...
I have yet to lose to an M5, only raced stock ones (as far as I know)
M5 from a roll, it takes about 3-4 Mississippi to get my front wheels in front of there front bumper. I raced an M5 from a dead stop, once, poor sucker... it happened to be up hill, I destroyed him! It was a go from a light, with a turn involved, can't give you any numbers, with my torque, the conditions couldn't have been more favorable. I remember, it was a brownish color and I knew how it was going to end before it started, I had my girlfriend in the car and started laughing before we started. =] (she may have been crying... well surely pouting)
I have even raced other 63's and 55's, 55 gets its nose out front for 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi, 3 Mississippi, by 4 Mississippi I start to pull, around 8-10 seconds before the other car is no longer beside me and I am actually in front of them.
I raced my friends stock gallardo, I get a nose out for 1 Mississippi... sadly that's it, around 4-5 Mississippi he is actually in front of me. From a dead stop, I beat the lambo every time. I want to (and don't want to, if you know what I mean) race a 55 from a dead stop, I imagine it would take much longer to beat it and am not sure how far it would actually get before I caught up.
I will get mischief to film it, we will do a few runs from different speeds, a true fair test. 60-130, 0-100...
Top gear and Road and track have tested the 2 cars on video... 63 won in both videos...

Liar...
While I hate my M6 from a dig, its really not that slow but its in comparo to my 997TT which rocks. I have run a few E55's, E63's and a modded S2M5 from 30 to 160 and have prevailed- more so with the AMG's and much closer with the Dinan S2. I also have 20 inch HRE wheels that hurt me versus the Dinan's 19 inch HRE comps. Where my M6 rocks is in the throttle response- hit on a roll the lead is there- make the shifts at or around 8000 rpms and I should be good. I wont beat a heavily modded E55 but I didnt buy the car for that- I bought it cause it looks cool, has great steering and brakes and sounds better than any car Ive ever had.

Intelliogic- just for the record, stock 63 isn't keeping up in a high speed pull. Close, but not quite.

DAMN YOU VIC!!!
How is she??
P.S.- Mockerybenz, don't go telling people you've mastered an M5 at 22 years old unless your name is Mika. I've logged 65,000 miles on mine so far, and I'd say I've mastered it.

2008 E63
save your time and effort, i own both an 2008 e63 and 2008 m5. i've had both since new and now they are both mildly modded. from a dig or slow roll, the e63 will win everytime to quarter mile speeds. from a 60 or 70mph roll to higher triple digit speeds, the m5 is a beast and will walk the e63 and not look back.
