Dyno Mode - Need a little help
If I get my car back together by this weekend I was planning on putting it up on the Dyno…. I have been searching for instructions on how to put my E55 into Dyno mode and I just wanted to know if the CLS steps are the same as the E????
Any help would be great!!

The DYNO mode disables ESP, BAS and ABS.
This is how you get into the hidden menu in the MFD.
FIRST MAKE SURE YOUR MDF SCREEN IS CURRENTLY DISPLAYING THE OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE, THEN:
1. Insert your key and turn to position 1.
2. Press the trip odometer reset button three (3) times.
3. The first screen you will see on the MFD is the battery voltage in the following format - UB: 12.0 V
4. Press the UP arrow button on the steering wheel.
5. You will now see other information such as Software Version, etc. If you turn the key to position 2 you will get a oil reading by QTS and other info will appear.
6. If you want to put the car into DYNO mode which will disable ESP and BAS, leave the key in position 1 and hit the up arrow until you see the screen that says "ESP Dynamometer Test".
7. At this screen use your + or - steering wheel button to turn this mode ON.
8. You will get some malfunctions due to ESP, BAS, etc. being off, but this is not a problem and they will go away once you disable the DYNO mode.
9. You can start you car now to DYNO it without all the electronic wizardry getting in the way.
CAUTION: DO NOT DRIVE LIKE THIS OR BAD THINGS MAY HAPPEN. ESP, BAS, ABS are desirable when driving
10. To exit out of DYNO mode, simply turn your car off then back on and it will reset to normal.

Same instructions, AFAIK.
Remember to keep your foot off of the brake/gas and have the door shut as well.
Close your left eye and tilt your head to the right and it should work.
The last part was a joke, but sometimes it takes a few tries.

MBWorld Fanatic!
are there any other things i need to be aware of when doing some dyno runs?
im going to try and get on the dyno to do some pulls at the end of the month.
im supposed to do the pull in 4th gear right?
BTW what kind of results did u get E55 Bulldog?
i also have the kleeman k2 setup so it would be nice to compare.

You just step on the gas gently until it's floored.

Is it governed by the limiter or the dyno program, I don't know the answer.
If you do it in 3rd, it will shut down at 138 or so, in 4th it's 155.
Using 4th gives you a ratio closer to 1:1, which is the preferred ratio.
