I had to do that too. My wife was in our room while I was on the computer. I had to hide my transaction so she wouldn't flip. But I had an excuse, I buy her expensive purses and clothes, spread the love girl

I'm still concerned buying something sight unseen even though I trust Neal will do it right. The guys in the CLS forum are looking at the Renntech diffuser that I think meets what some of us are looking for with the diffuser protruding off the bumper a little and wrapping around the exterior sides of the exhaust tips. Granted I don't like how the fins start so low.

There's a few problems with the RennTech diffuser:

- It looks a little bulky.
- The fins hang way too low and don't seem very proportional.
- RennTech wants $2,500 for that diffuser.
- RennTech does NOT make one for the E-Class.

The design of the E55 diffuser looks so much better...... it makes the car look like a black series

Yeah I have had the wife around a bit too. Plan to pay later today.
Hopefully this diffuser will offer a more pronounced look then the standard e55 one they have already made. Looking forward to a rendering or something to look at

Well, I ordered the baby stroller and now my boy will be riding around one of the few E63s in the country with a CF diffuser. Go me!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the Renntech diffuser is the way to go, but I do like the way it is a bit more pronounced around the exterior edges extending off the bumper a bit and wrapping around the exhaust.

Do we think we would be incorporating those characteristics into the one-off E63 diffusers?

Once we all buy in will any more E63 diffusers be produced or can we limit it to only those that are purchased right now? Meaning can we make it exclusively limited? I think this may persuade more to jump aboard now since it will be limited production.

Hey mprsev, do you know of a good body shop in the Seattle/Bellevue area that can install this diffuser? It'll save me from paying duty/brokerage to get this into Vancouver.

I really like the limited production idea.... at least for a year or two

Basically we already have the design almost done. It will be just like the E55 diffuser, but the fins will come out more and hang lower then the E55 one. Also, around the exhaust tips, it will be more pronounced.

AWESOME!
I think you have the right idea!

Can we see a rendering of this item once done? Will there be a rendering?

Also how about the idea of making this item a limited edition for a little while? Not sure what a good timeframe would be, but how about something like that?

Yeah I knew what you meant. yeah the E doesnt extend all the way around like the CL, but would still be nice to that point with something fairling pronounced, without being obnoxious.
Hopefully we will get some kind of pic of a drawing or something to tease us with for a while. Neal?

I like that idea, only 10 E63s in the U.S. to have this diffuser

Exactly! Similar to the Vorsteiner one I posted in post#15 earlier. I believe it is possible as Vorsteiner got it to wrap around the E55 diffuser.
