How to approach this problem
Ok occasionally my SBC unit makes a vibrating sound. I have no warning lights on the dash. I know SBC parts have a 10yr warranty.
How do I present this problem to the dealrship so it can be fixed under warrant at no cost.

When i bought my 04 in October, one of the outstanding recalls was replacement of the SBC unit.
Correct, these components are covered for 10 years. If it is a recall, there is no 10 year restriction (ie: if car comes back after 15 years and recall was never completed, recall will be performed)

Do you feel it in the brake pedal or do you hear it from the engine bay?
Every time i start my car and put it in reverse, i feel a vibration in the brake pedal for a second and hear a bit of a sound. I thought it was normal.

when you open the door, thats actually the airmatic pump leveling out the car... the sbc pump i believe is that slight vibration that you feel when pressing the brake pedel... i almost always get it after starting the car and backing out of the driveway...

UPDATE:
I took the car to the dealership and told them SBC unit is making a ratteling sound when i get the vibration on the brake pedal. they replaced the SBC hydraulic unit at no charge. Got an appointment the same day i called got a C300 as a loner. Way to go MB Sugar Land.

when ever you unlock the car after a long period the SBC system performs a wake up check so SBC pump also turns on.

Is this ten year warranty jsut for the original owner? Mine is a 2003 and it has started vibrating the pedal all the time but especially when I am slowing down then it quicks a second before the car fully stops.
