First time at the track 12.17 at 118.6MPH!
Finally had a chance to bring my (new to me) 03 E55 to the track (Atco NJ). Weather was nice and cold about 45 but the track prep was horrible since it rained in the morning. Only mod i did was add K&N filters. Rear tires are Falken Ziex 912 which grab worse than the stockers in my opinion. Ran my best twice with identical time and MPH!
60ft 2.06
1/4 - 12.17
MPH - 118.6
From what I have read this is a pretty good time for basically stock. I know with a better launch I can get this thing into the 11's. Most of all I am happy to see that my car is healthy and obviously has no issues

It was my first time taking the E55 down the track. I have a ton of track experience since my friends own shops around here. That definitely helped contribute to my times. I have probably driven about 100 cars and done around 1000 passes over the years.

Solid numbers. Your mph might drop slightly with a sub 2.0 60 foot. Keep it up and get those times down.

You don't need 275's to pull great 60's. I was pulling 1.8's on Stock Conti's. My best 60' ever (1.64) was on 265 PS2's at Atco. You obvioulsy need to have soft tires, but you need excellent track prep. Do a nice burnout to heat the tires up, and make sure that you line up in the groove, which is always closer to the tree than you think it should be. And ROLL into the throttle to keep from spinning.
Good luck

It was a track rental! Thats the only time I really go to the track...First pass ever in the car was 12.47 at 116.8 with a 2.27 60ft.
enzom - thats exactly what i tried to do..but no matter what the combo of bad track prep with the crappy falkens just wasnt working...Once i get new tires i will try again
