Question for people on E55 waiting lists...

HarvE55,
The recent announcement that Nav is not available is upsetting.
Originally the factory said "delayed availability". The deal was that if people want it we would discount it to $1695, pay for it now or work it into you rlease numbers at the discount price and we will owe it to you when available. Well now it is not going to be available any time soon and we have to call people and tell them now that they are not going to get it. In the word ofn Charlie Brown "AAARRRGGGHHH"
Of course there are those who care less of Navigation but from opinions expressed here there are more folk that desire the Navigation option than the "care less" folk.

CME4BENZ,
Is the 2003 E55 the most desired AMG model at this time?
The desirability of AMG models <loosely> correlates with MSRP.
The SL55 is without doubt the most desirable.
Next is the CL55.
Personally I think the S55 is at odds with itself...too bulky to optimally fulfill the spirit of what AMG is about (and yes, the CL55 is not too far behind it, but is by definition a coupe nonetheless).
Then comes the E55.
I think the new 209CLK55 has slipped a rung on the ladder and is now last in the sedan lineup after the C32.
I don't even count the G55 and ML55.
The equivalent of putting a beautiful thong bikini on Rosie O'Donnell.

As I have posted therre is no NAv available for W211 cars, CD or DVd based! As of last week Nav is not available and we do not a timeline for availablity. They can't integrate it into the current cars so I dought that you could put it in a 210 body (if it were available, which it is not)

I was only referring to W211 Nav retrofitting which had been rumored that the next Nav could be added at the dealer. Thanks.
As of now there is no DVD nav for '03 E class cars. When it is available I don't know and no idea if it can be fitted into existing cars. It's all speculation at this point since it doesn't exist.
