E63 asked for a head start...
My uncle brought his sons car into service yesterday (335 w/JB3) and he told me a funny story. After finishing up from service he pulled off from bmw and not to far down the road is ray catena for MB. He noticed a E63(white) with 2 dueds prob mid 20z who worked for MB driving aggressively and pulls up to him at the light. They lower the window to talk to my uncle and my uncle puts down his window and they asked him "you got anything in there?" and my uncle replied softly "Yes I do". This is the funny part, they ask him to run and my uncle agreed but then they tell him "give us a head start because it's not a fair race, we seen videos and that car is fast." lol. My uncle didn't agree to the head start, light turned green and no action. Hopefully that E63 doesn't belong to someone in the forums who brought it in for service lol.

Modded 335s are no joke. I've seen Warren's car run 12.11 and 12.0 @ 116 mph at Famoso, which he later beat at Sacramento Raceway. I think his best with just the JB3 tune, tires, and race gas was 11.9x @ 118 mph At Famoso, same track and same day, my car (100% stock) was running in the 12.20s to 12.40s @ 114 to 115 mph range. So, yeah..... these things are fast

Heh Hopefully it wasn't a sold unit they would get into a lot of trouble either way. I seen a girl with an E63, she was also a race car driver and happen to be in socal.... Maybe the same lady?

Unfortunately my uncle is more of a racer then my uncle's son who is 20 yrs old and he's not much of a racer and my mom would kill my uncle for racing me lol. I do feel that my car is definetly running alot better since I changed the pump but I also took a ride in the 335 and I get that same feeling in my stomach that I do in my 55 so it would be interesting.

you've got to be kidding me. A 300hp car with a computer aid thinks it can beat a E63? I would ask him if he wants a head start lol the 335 weighs 3600lbs. I call some serious BS! These other 335' running 11's must have some serious mods. Not a chance they are stock with a computer aid. If so I want to see them. Line me up for a purchase.

I now have a modded 335i Convertible that will outperform both the SL55 and E63 Wagon I once owned. Additionally I don't have to lift off the throttle when I come to a curve. Best bang for the buck. You'll go broke modding a Benz.

Like I said. If a stock 335 with JUST a computer aid tune can run in the 11's I will be the first in line to buy one. The someone in this thread claims this. Now he has to back this up. bummer.

Besides lowering, is there any other way to remedy this?

Even with the stiffer performance package suspension, which by the way performs noticeably better, the body roll still exists. It may be very hard to get rid of the body roll on this car simply because it's much larger than the M3.

I will tell you what. I will bet anyone 1 million dollars that this is not true. I will even go buy a brand new E63 stock and a brand new stock 335 and add just a JB3 to it. I will even higher professional race car drivers to race both. If I win, whoever bet me will owe me 1 million dollars. If the person that bet me wins I will pay them 1 million dollars. Any takers????? Granted, you have to verify you have funds for this kind of thing with the bank and so will i. I'm serious if there are any takers!

By the way, Warren's car did not only beat a stock E63, it beat the quickest/fastest stock E63 in the west coast

Yea, I figured that. I remember the E60 M5 feeling pretty solid when I test drove it, but then I also didn't get a chance to push it around a corner/curve like I have with my E63.

The M5 is definitely better in that department. I test drove one a couple of times, but never took one to the track. However, I could feel the superior stability and crisp cornering through out.
