Modded CLS55 dyno results...

i attended a dyno day and had 3 pulls done on my car.
the first pull and the last pull was done in 3rd gear and the second pull was done in 4th gear. it seems like the car hit some sort of limiter in the 4th gear pull. my speed limiter should have been changed to 300km/h with my kleeman k2 tune though so im not sure what happened.

the numbers got a little lower with each run. i guess due to heat soak?
also their sensor for AFR went kaputz close to the end of the dyno day and unfortunately i wasnt able to get a proper reading for that ( i went last). here are pics of the un-smoothed and smoothed dynographs. not really sure what that means as im still a bit new to the dyno thing. ill post a vid later.

anyways my mods so far are:

Kleeman 168mm pulley, headers, downpipe (replaces primary cats) and K2 ECU flash
VRP CF airbox, CF intake tubes and X-pipe.

Results: 480 RWHP and 562 RWTQ on a Mustang 1100SE Chassis Dyno

Anyways, here are some questions i have.
are these good/expected results?
what are my approx crank numbers?
is there room for improvement through a custom dyno tune?
any type of analysis would be much appreciated.
cheers!

Run 1 un-smoothed (3rd gear)

Run 1 Smoothed (3rd gear)

Run 2 un-smoothed (4th gear) -notice how the hp just falls off suddenly

Run 2 smoothed (4th gear) -notice how the hp just falls off suddenly

Run 3 (3rd gear)

Messed up AFR (not sure if any info here is useful)

JikJak> Your car's numbers were the best of the day by far. And the sound was deafening. I can't imagine what your car will be able to do if you decide to get that custom LET tune.

CRANK NUMBERS--

well not sure about MUSTANG DYNO,,

I know DYNOJET is around 18 %
and DYNOPACK is around 25%

if it is a roller dyno its likely around 18%

drive train loss has nothing to do with the dyno. and if you're talking about parasitic loss from the dyno itself, a dynapack will definitely show a lower percentage (higher hp) number than any other.

i definitely cant wait to do the custom tune, but a few more mods need to be done before i do that.

you had great results as well!

403rwhp and 403 tq are great numbers for a stock C63!
i think u have ringer since the other C63s that have dynoed there were around 387rwhp and 382rwtq

Nice numbers, I've got a few pulls under my belt, Never on a Mustang dyno. My question to anyone who has the answer... The dyno charts in this dyno seen a bit confusing to me. Some charts look normal and others look like you are pulling timing up top? Is it just the way they print the charts?

When I see HP taper off thats the norm (in my book) at redline. when the HP stays flat at redline, to me it looks like timing?

Nice numbers!

The HP is tapering off, as Hooleyboy mentioned, due to spark lead.

Fourth gear pulls create too much heat for the compromised airflow on a Dyno, and the results are seen above.

Dyno Dynamics is about 22% and mustang slightly less like 20-21%.

Ignition timing. The car is reducing your timing advance due to heat, and affecting power.

ahh thats why the power cut on the fourth gear pull. i thought that maybe my speed limiter might not have been removed.

could i have gotten higher numbers with a fourth gear pull once i have the cooling upgrades done?

Terence, congratulations. Those numbers are definitely astounding and strong. The custom tune you mentioned, will it be done locally?

thanks ken! it wont compare to your beast though! but i cant wait to do a comparo.
are u going to be picking it up soon?

well if i can get enough people on board we can/will do the tune locally! (on a dyno of course)
if not then it would be a remote dyno tune.
maybe they can tune your ride! hehehe

My tuner just finish making a few tweaks and the car will be sent to corner balance and alignment tommorrow and it will be ready for pick up this thursday....finally after 6 months of hibernation.

Are you thinking of flying out the tuner ( asssuming from the states ) to do the tune in Vancouver? Well, it is possible if you can get enough people to do this.

WOW! Insane numbers for a mustang dyno, I can't imagine what you'll do with a LET 180mm, heat exchanger and retune from LET. Don't forgot the IC Pump if you do add the heat exchanger, btw, did you ever take it to the strip yet? What a beast.

i cant wait to see what it can do after getting those mods (along with a TB upgrade) done.

ill be taking it to the strip to see how i can do pretty soon!
i need to find a set of drag rims/tires though.

ken: thats what im thinking. i just have to round up a four more people locally!
