Curious about Supercharger belt pulley failure?
Took my car in to the dealer today to get one of the Supercharger belt pulleys replaced.
It's the one on the left of the engine (when looking in) and not the tensioner pully. Two pulleys on the same shaft (rear one holds the serpentine belt).

Anyway, mine is starting to sound on the way out (actually sounded like a diesel truck the other day), so I checked it this weekend, and sure enough you can feel the bearings are shot and it's "rattling" in the hub.
Checked out EPC and it shows (as does the pulley itself) 1132020219 but then it's been updated/superceded TWICE to 1132020419 as the current version.
Took it in this morning to the dealer and showed him the problem. Instantly he said, "Yep, it's the bearing - seen a lot of those lately". He also hinted that there's a recall on them (or maybe just a service campaign?) for which I can find no details on ALLDATADIY.
Anyone else had this replaced as service item?? Cost should be borne by my extended warrantay (Starmark), as these are $400 new (+ labor)!!
Curious if this is a true recall or just a service campaign.
BTW car has 63k on it, and this bearing shouldn't have failed. Probably why there's been two revisions to get it right...
