I just need to change my rear pads. The discs are fine.
sorry need to specify, when you change your rear pads you still need to disconnect the brake module in the engine compartment because in some aspect we have electric brakes on e55's, I was under the impression that the 63's are the same? maybe not?

They wouldn't, it is the cost of the pads and labor to replace them. It sounds like the dealer is gonna pay the cost of the rotors and the labor to change them while doing the pads. Changing rotors while doing pads is probably and additional ten minutes.
At least that is how I understand the original post.

$650 for pads AND rotors at the dealership is not bad at all. $650 for just pads is plain robbery. which is the case? im confused..

I'd upgrade to Porterfields for about $450 (front and rear) if I needed new pads. You might be able to find a better price if look around though.
