this is for 2005 & up, their system for 2003-2004 is iTronic™
Viseeo for UHI equipped Mercedes Benz
If your car has UHI (called MHI in North America) preinstalled, then instead of the iTronicBT, you would want the Viseeo™ . UHI has been available since 2005 for Mercedes Benz. If you do not have your original sales receipt, you can determine if your car has UHI by opening up the armrest lid. You will see a connector as pictured below, or you may see a "puck" as pictured below
UHI Connector Covered UHI Connector Exposed
Mercedes Brand "puck" or "dongle" installed
The Viseeo offers a better solution than the Mercedes or AWS Bluetooth adapter (or puck). Viseeo offers one button pairing and works just as Mercedes intended, but with the ability to use any phone from any carrier. It includes full caller id display and phonebook use in the cars built in radio and instrument cluster displays. It allows you to simply get into the car with the phone in your pocket, purse, or briefcase. When you start your car, the car will automatically connect wirelessly to your phone (after an initial one time security 'pairing' procedure). It also offers features that the factory adapter does not. Such as taking a call private, muting the microphone, and software upgradable for future phones and abilities.
What Viseeo ™ offers:
fully compatible with Mercedes-Benz UHI equipped vehicles since 2005 (2007 in U.S. cars)
support of most any Bluetooth equipped mobile phone
full duplex hands-free communication with digital echo cancllation
phonebook upload, recent call lists, caller-id and voice dial supported (phone and head-unit dependent features).
supports the use of steering wheel controls and keypad dial from your radio or COMAND unit
take the call private
support of Smart and PDA phones (largest range of compatible phones available)
full feature set support of the original Mercedes phone solution
software upgradable
excellent customer support
I've already been in contact w/them the 2005 SLR230 is compatible even though above description sates (2007 in u.s. Cars) I'm not certain about other models but was told if you have the UHI Connector Covered or UHI Connector Exposed in your center console you're "GOOD TO GO"
Viseeo for 2005 & newer Mercedes Benz
$479

bone stock E55 AMG
i thought about getting it for my W203 as i have UHI kit...
but viseeo site says it's only compatible with MOST and mine's D2B...
i will eventually get UHI kit for W211 also and will likely to use viseeo or iPhone cradle...

I have one of these in my 05 E55... works great On a windows mobile phone I needed to install bluetooth manager software in order to upload my phonebook (can't remember off hand what it was)....but when I switched to an iPhone, it was able to upload my phonebook as well. And I was able to pick one of these up from eBay for around $300 or so?

I don't have the UHI/MHI interface in my car (I can't see it anyway), the way I read their site, it seems like they have a solution for that as well that's much more attactive than the dealership's $2000-$3000 solution, is that correct?
My lease is coming up in June and I'm definitely going to either buy out my car (which seems unlikely) or buy another 2005 or 2006 E55, CL55 or SL55, and for sure I need to have some kind of Bluetooth solution installed, sticking an earpiece in my ear everytime the phone rings, or having to look down at the phone to see who's calling is not my cup of tea.
Looking for solutions and these guys seem to have it figured out. Does Argos have something similar?

I've had one for a year or so and it's great - works fine with my iPhone 3g, but did need to get it flashed to display the phone book properly on Comand

I don't know who told you that, but you only need to buy the bluetooth module that lists for $495 about $20 more than the aftermarket solution. If you wanted you can probably find them on eBay for $300. Even if your car had no wiring what so ever it would still only cost you about $1600 installed @ the dealer.

I'm seriously pissed @ these Con-artist gypsy charlatans, I later found Mik-Box that worked on my S430 for a few hundred & enabled multiple phone choices, the latest attempt @ on the SL is inexcusable they told me flat out my car had NO pre-wiring & needed full retro-fit. I showed them the center console plug-in & they said it was hooked to nothing etc..
I later looked @ the Original window sticker that came w/my SL in glove box, clearly states phone option was ordered/installed in SL, also tries to interface when prompted from steering wheel buttons & command system only stating "Phone not Plugged in" "Plug Phone in" Also has SOS emergency krap installed.

Santa Barbara Auto Group (MB section) their HEAD service advisor told me this, not only this time w/my SL600 but back when I owned 01' S430 (was pre-wired) I fell for it & they charged me about $2800 not inc their huffy MB branded V-60 Motorola phn for another $500.

This is correct, but I was not referring to that system. I was speaking on the MHI system he has which is in the 05+ vehicles.
