Can you have your rotors machined?

people say it is not advisable to machine cross drilled rotors.

you can get evosport light weight rotors for 2 large or stock rotors for 250.

I just redid the front brakes on my car less than a month ago and they set me back $140/rotor at Penske Mercedes in Covina, CA. Stealership wanted $320 for the brake pads and I opted out for EBC reds for $160 from the internet. Did the work myself so the total out of pocket was right about $450.

Your worst nightmare...
Need Lighter Rotors-CL65

Sorry to Hijack the thread but I also need rotors for my CL65...Is there anything out there that is lighter or less expensive? I think dealer wants 700+ for each rotor. I'd rather spend the money finding something lightweight and better quality. Thanks for the input.

Here the part # 230-421-07-12 OEM. It about $130 each rotor. Dealer doesn't recommended to have them machine. It just slap in and go type of things.

Not necessarily, you don't have to change the rotors each time you replace the pads. It's all depend on your driving habits..Meaning, are you an aggressive drivers? Do you brake hard?...
