If I recall correctly Evosport has done roll bars for some folks on the forum. You might give them a shout.

I've only seen the pictures, but the Evosport rollbar in Jim's Black Series is very nice.
I know that Evosport did have a post not too long ago about being able to have a version for a 4 door that would be removable with hidden mounting hardware for daily driving.

All kidding aside, the bar evosport put in my Black Series is beautiful, although it is not NHRA approved, but then again I was not looking for an approved full cage.

Thanks Jangy, They start the roolbar install in two weeks. We met a month ago though a good friend of mine. They worked together on some race teams.. The owner is very good at what he does, I am installing long tubes and Dyno custom tune In a week then back to cali for the rollbar. The Evosport cage looks great ..

Nice fab work in the pics posted but I don't see anything that NHRA would accept as, "legal".
I see no point at all in having a roll bar or cage installed unless it's necessary to meet association rules because you're going fast enough to require one. Unless you plan on wearing a helmet and a harness all the time, that roll bar is going to hurt you in an accident.

Rick,
Have you run 10.99s yet, or just "hoping" to?
Putting a roll bar in before you've made a 10.99 pass is a pretty textbook case of "carriage before the horse" IMO...
Are you planning on competing competitively? Are you aware of what putting a rollbar is going to do to your CLS? Is there any alternative?

Under 11.00 is a bunch more rules. Driveshaft loop, rear end, seat, harness besides cage. A roll bar will work but you will still need a side bar on the driver's side. At least it can be a swing out. Check the nhra rulebook for the details. Up to 11.50 and they don't apply, but in the 10's is a whole new ballgame. I say just buy yourself a supercomp car and really have fun at the track.

"10.99, that's the easy part" Rick, sorry to break it to you, but it is going to be more difficult than you think. I have been stuck at 11.0's for several months now. I would worry about going 10.99 and then worry about the cage. A full NHRA cage for your car is going to weigh probably close to 200 pounds, my little 4-point roll bar weighs 72 pounds. The weight of the cage is going to set you back a tenth or two and let's face it, although your 11.60 is impressive for a CLS it is nowhere close to a 10.99 and additional weight is the last thing the CLS needs in its way. Please don't take this post the wrong way, you know I like you and we have shared lots of back and forth info over the past year, just trust me when I say get the e/t first, let them boot you from the track and then go back to the drawing board. I'm looking forward to the day I get booted from a track for going too fast without an approved cage.
