The CarMax ESP was 4 yrs./60,000 miles. It covers most everything on the car - no tires, hoses, belts, and maintenace items. There is a $50 deductible per visit. It cost $2,200.

Got a quote for 4 year 48,000 mile for 2,149. they "say" it covers rotors AND accepted by all MB dealers!

Check with a couple dealers first. Ask them how they would handle it when you produced that warranty card.
I had a 100k warranty 'thrown in' on an old C-class back in the day. It was supposed to cover everything with $100 deductible. The service writer looked at the card like it was radioactive. Never did use it.

Edit: But if the dealer is ok with it, $2k for a 4 year extension is a fabulous deal, even if it excludes maint items.

I called Flecture Jones and they said they have customers with the CarMax warrenty. It's a $75 deductible @ MB dealers and $50 @ CarMax shops.

When you say 48,000 miles, is that total miles or 48,000 miles starting from the day you get it? I would hate to think that is total miles.

I am looking at the Carmax E55 as well. Prices seem to be on the high side. How's their cars versus the ones on the MB dealership in CPO?

It's 48,000 miles beyond those already on the odometer. On my 4 yr. 60,000 mile warranty, my warranty expires at 90,400 miles as my 2003 had 30,400 miles when CarMax bought the vehicle.

CarMax also has a multiple point inspection and they will not place a car on their lot if it has frame damage or paint work, for example.

I agree that the E55 prices at CarMax have risen. Last Winter, cars were not selling very well and the prices were lower. My car was priced at $28,147 with the $149 fee included. I watch what CarMax hasfor sale and all of the other five E55s that were listed with my vehicle in January have all sold.
