I can tell you that you will definitely notice a difference with the K1 and K2 package though... Definitely worth the investment, especially at the reduced prices!

At these prices, might as well go all out K4.

Headers would be nice. I've already got Renntech pulley / software on my car. Am I prettty well out of luck on the CEL light with your headers?

Are o2 sims a possible solution or no?

You can buy the kleemann headers and then send your ecu to either renntech or kleemann to have the o2 sensor software installed. Its a completely different side of the ecu unrelated to where the engine maps are stored.

$1400 for a non equal length short $300 header. Please tell me why a short header for a Benz is $1100 more than any other assembly line V8 vehicle.

Fools and their money.

Made the applicable word more noticeable.

Not that I agree with it at all.

Totally agree, some of the best Hemi, and Vette headers are under $900
from 304 stainless, and the MB ones are overpriced cause they are MB only

you think $1500 is alot, try the Renntech at $4500 ( a joke )
or the
CARLSON headers at $12,000 !!

shorties should cost around $800-1000, and long tubes should be around $1500

there are companies that will custom fab long tubes for around $2500, but take like 3 weeks and thats alot time without the car

bend over !

Whatever we're tuning!
The K1 and K2 package work amazing together and definitely the best, reliable program for the money.

Just make sure you correct known issues with this platform if you decide to go this route.

Stupid question guys...
I am thinking some of these prices are almost too good to pass up. Being a fairly new 55 owner how does it work if your car is still under warranty? Will dealer reject any engine/tranny claims if modifications have been made? I paid almost 4k for a comprehensive warranty that covers pretty much anything..and so far they have taken care of anything whether its large or small..with no deductable. So I'd hate to mess that up ..but at the same time I'd like to get some goodies under the hood. Friend of mine said that Benz will only warranty Renntech parts/upgrades? Is that true statement?

Theres no such thing as a stupid question. If Renntech has partnered up with MB it's news to me and I'm a Renntech dealer. I can't be 100% positive on this but I would bet on that being false because MB already has an aftermarket tuner that they cover under warranty and thats AMG.

As far as Kleemann stuff voiding your warranty is all depends on your relationship with your service advisor at the dealership. Some dealers don't mind the mild stuff i.e. headers and pulley kits, and then there are some that will say they dont won't warranty anything. But the engine and trans. can handle the extra power easily. These mods have been proven to be very reliable and the cars engine and tranny have been very reliable. Somethings you may run into might be a vac hose/boost hose leak but the price of have these things replaced if they don't cover it under warranty are peanuts to the cost of an engine or transmission. A dealer might say well your running more boost so we aren't going to cover it and another dealer might say I have replaced 20 of these little hoses this month, they go bad regardless and will cover it under warranty. So it's really just depends on your dealership.
