E55 hp..

Hello again guys. Is it true that E55AMG has "only" 476bhp instead of 500bhp because of different exhaust? So have they decreased the power on purpose? Many Finnish carmagazines says that..maybe someone really knows?

That is what we hear here in the US as well. I also have read that the E55 engine may have a little less boost as well.

I believe the E55 has been "detuned" strictly on paper to 476hp, and not in reality. The engine produces the same amount of torque as the SL55, CL55, and S55. Marketing plays a big role in the hiearchy of AMG models.
