Ran the new CTS-V last night in my E55

I dunno but a stroked out V10 ($30k kit) doesnt seem to be blowing away that stock v so seriously. Wheel hop is not an issue with the new v its the traction. Traction is the problem with all that torque its making. Even the red v is rolling on 18's w/ dr's and still has serious traction issues.

yea but thats probally for a used m4 w/ 40k miles. If I was going to dump 30k into a car i'd atleast want it under 5 digit mileage. Another thing i gotta say is that I wanted a car that was newer. I see way too many e55's, m5's, m6's driven buy teens that picked up the rides used. By the time i'm done with the V in a couple years i'll find something newer

^ agreed. Especially when they dont realize that the maintenance cost wont be the same as their civic's. You want to see a horrid used market car...lol, the new GTR...in two years they'll be going in the 45's probally but who the hell will want to buy it when a good maintenance price is like 2-3k from nissan.

Haha, omg, just wait to see all the idiots who will come that close to ruining a tranny, and you buy it, and the first time you get on it, BANG! You're done, lol. Yeah, some people just don't get it. I just love it when you see these guys buying these cars, and then something breaks because they bought a beater, and now they beat on it, and now they're like "Holy *****, look how much it is to fix!"

I think buying a car brand new is the dumbest thing in the world unless you are leasing, it's limited production and you are a collector that will rarely every drive the car. I rather buy a cpo for less and keep the change in my pocket for something else. the only reason you are seeing more expensive cars on the street is because they have no value. I could of bought a M6 convert for 26K cash a couple of times from people that are in need of some doe. As long as you get a good warranty and it's a CPO it's a doable deal.
If you hate having money then buy a new car and if you live in cali wait til you have to get tags. I will never buy a new car ever again. I have had 5 already and wasted thousands of dollars. I bought my 55 used with very low miles and a good price and now it's worth less than a e350. I plan on keeping the car and restoring it once I am done paying for it and I will buy a GT3 USED. the W211 amg will be a classic in 20 -30 years for it was a true game changer when it debuted in 03. even today the new cars performance is not much better.
plus I have had no major issues with my 55 and is has a lot of options so there is a lot that can possibly go wrong. My point is don't knock buying a used car because they are not all bad.

Those hennessey #'s are inflated. There is a guy though that owns wait4meperformance , he is a sikkk tuner for gm/ford/ elive/sct vehicles. He wanted to see how strong the V block was so for after getting the V he was running a 200shot of nos in it -lol. It held up but he said he couldnt ever get any traction. Now he wants to see how far he can go with pulley's etc before the motor pops....lol if only everyone was willing to do the same

That is some SERIOUS power for stock!! I love it...

I want to verify the #'s using another dyno. This way i know that the first dyno was setup properly and calibrated correctly. It will also make clarification of future mods and the power gains alot easier for most people to grasp since i'm guessing about 75% of all dyno #'s posted are off of dynojets.

E63 AMG & CLK350
I've spotted 3 of these in the past couple days, but none of them would play with me.
From a purely aesthetic standpoint, the CTS-V has a pretty mean stance on the road. So tempted to go test drive one!

Yep ! That explains why they used more aggressive gearing. I can guarantee though at the manual V will pull the auto v on the highway. Not too mention the manual has the "no lift shift" feature. Which means when you're going wot at redline you can keep your foot planted on the gas while pressing in the clutch and shifting and the car's ecu will hold the throttle for a split second. that why you wont have to lift up on the gas to shift into next gear. Havent tried it yet but heard it was a blast
