Footnote on parts when using EPC net

What does it mean when there are multiple items in the footnote of a part but only the description of one of the items is displayed under the "Designation/description" column in the parts list (see the attached image)?

Thumbs up

Anyone?

I'm actually looking at E63 headlights and the footnote has four different items. I'm wondering if that means all four are compatible parts for the car. I checked VINs on several different 07+ E63s and some of them have just two items in the footnote.

Thanks for looking.

When you look at the footnote..Pay attention to the code...494 (usa version) and the chasis vin break. This mean that the Bi-Xenon can be use in many different car...as long it within this vin in the pix that you've posted...I hope this can help you a bit...

Hey Joel, thanks for the reply.

I still don't quite understand it yet. I called a dealer and the guy did not want to disclose any info to help me. How do I check if a VIN falls within one of those footnotes? I'm not sure how to dissect the VIN to make a match. Let's use a car with VIN ending with B089297.

Thanks!

PM me with the complete VIN and I'll find out for you to see what exactly does your car have or had
