W211 E55 Tire Fitment?
Just bought a set of wheels, but wanted to replace the tires. Right now they have 245/35/20's which are stretched a little, not too bad & 275/30/20's which are stretched way too much. Wanted to go a little wider and lower on both front and back. Has anyone used 255/30/20's on the front (9 inch wide) with out any issues, and 295/25/20 in the rear (10 or 10.5 inch wide, not sure)? Right now my car is stock height, but I would like to lower it about an inch. Just wanted to avoid buying tires that I can't use.

The brand of tire you have plays a role in the stretched look.
Definitely don't buy Pirelli P-Zero Nero's...they look stretched no matter how wide you go.
Vredesteins sit really nice.
245/30/20 and 285/25/20 are the perfect size for our cars.
The tires you have now are too big in diameter. A 295/25/20 is better than what you have.
Just remember to stay within 3% of the stock rolling diameter.
Here's a tire size calculator that i use frequently.

the 255 fronts will be fine, but i doubt even with the proper offset that you'll get the 295's to fit out back without rubbing once lowered.

Wow, a 265 up front is pretty wide. I guess I'll be okay w/ the 255. I guess I'll have to contact HRE and give them the serials off the back of the wheels for the offsets, and go from there about the 295. Thanks everyone.
