+1.

I like the intercooler setup but the hood scoop looks like an afterthought. You'd have to do something to get cool air to the rear facing intake but I can imagine a number of ways to solve that problem without that particular hood scoop.

Those rocker covers, hood and fender side vents look horrible.................like they found them on a shelf at Vato Zone or Pimp Boys.

Ohh Dear Lord!! what? why? molestation to a new level! *** looking hood scoop besides the other Lorinser scoop bits, money doesn't buy class

The hood scoop is the new air intake, look @ engine bay no tubes, triangle @ rear by TB connects to hood, very kool idea but ugly as hell design, could be a wicked performer!

How about filters? It seems like air flows straight to the TB unless I'm missing something. I guess there could be filter somewhere in to air scoop.

Dyno-Comp built this car back in 2004, However they did not do the body work, thank god. Believe it or not, That style mushroom airfilter makes a bunch of power. I can get the dyno numbers this week if anyone wants to see them.

This car's styling might possibly be saved.
If you black out all of those vents and fins, refinish the RENNtech wheels back to silver with polished lips, and eliminate the horrendous hood vent and side badging, you'll be left with something quite nice looking, IMO.

As for the modifications, I gotta give the owner big props.
It's very well modded.

Just under 12 sec 1/4?????

URNext's was running near 11 flat and she sure looked a helluva lot better than that God awful thing.

Hooleybuy, let me know any info you have on that mushroom setup. Would LOVE to try having the air come in from the air vents near windshield on the hood. No scoop though.......ewwwwwwww.

That mushroom filter made the exact same amount of power as the car did with no air filter.

I will look into some info on this filter..

well i thought ram air worked better on NA engines...ours is force induction. Doesnt that mean the air is already forced in?
i.e sucked?

mind you the SLR has a ram air scoop, but its at the front...hmmm

our cars definitely respond to ram air in front of the blower. anyone that argues otherwise is a paper racer and only reads magazines.

actually, i wasn't speaking about this fugly ram air set up...just in general.

but it's logical that the slr coolers would fit...it's always been our airbox set up that prevented them from working. why do you think vadim came up with the fangs...it wasn't for aesthetics or performance.
