Help with Service Work
My 2004 E55 is hardly driven ( sadly no time too much work travel ) and although the mileage limits have not been reached for service work the time factor has, and therefore, several service items need attention. For example the battery message " Convenience functions temp unavailable " has appeared. Prolly needs a new battery as it is the original. My question is can anyone recommend an independent Merc expert in the the Manalapan/ Freehold NJ area to do this kind of service ( battery, filters, etc. ) work?
Or, should I stick with a dealer, and if so can anyone recommend a dealer that I can trust? You know good work and no door nicks!
Thanks.

Try charging your battery in the trunk. When my car was in the shop having work done, the battery drained quite a bit....my tech put the charger on it for a few hours and the light hasn't come on in 6 months.
Letting your Beast sit for long periods may drain the battery. Try that first.
