Can you reset maintence mileage / kind of service?
I picked up an SL55 not too long ago, it said Service B is due in 9900 miles, now at 9300 miles when Service B is due.. (600 miles later)
My question is can that be reset or the letter of the service be changed? I don't think where I got it from would do that but just curious because I don't want anything going wrong with the car just based on bad oil or something.
Also when doing the sneaky ecu reset, every thread I read battles over position 1 or position 2. WHICH IS IT?!?!

Yes it can be reset. Since reset is based on the honor code. After performing service you have to reset it manually. After reset it will jump to the next service letter due.

any suggestions or things to check to see if the last service was done? i assume letting it do its thing and check the oil level when engines off, but how can you see how the oil looks, also to pull filters off and check condition
