whats a good set of mufflers to pick up for the 55? i was looking at the kleemann and the eisenmann mufflers for starters? of course i would love a nice set or longtubes but thats just not in the budget right now.. also not having a place in vegas that will work on the 55 that i know of is another issue all together haha... i have checked out some sound clips and both of those mufflers seem to give the car a nice exhaust tone.. any advice or opinions would be appreciated.. Thanks.

Ya I would get the long tubes From Chris a floored fab here is Phx. Its not to far of a drive they are 2800 right now but another member is doing a group buy for 2400 I think. which is the same price as the eisenmann I think . Thats what i would do.

I have Kleemann mufflers on my 55... they are not a direct fit and you will need a talented fabricator and welder to make them fit and look right. The sound is great though, slightly louder burble at idle, and fantastically clean authoritative sound under WOT.

I don't know what current pricing on Kleemann mufflers are, you'd have to contact Cory. They are roughly in line with the pricing on Eisenmann mufflers. I put up a thread detailing the installation of my Kleemann mufflers, check it out and there's all kinds of pictures.
Neither system is bolt on and will require welding, although the Kleemann system is more involved - it is also in my mind a more unique system with a unique sound to match. I have always held Kleemann in high regard and the customer service Cory provides is really what pushes me towards their products when applicable. I had Eisenmann on my SL600 and it was a nice piece. For what it's worth, the Eisenmann RACE system is too loud for my taste on the 55.

It depends on how loud you want the car. I still have my resonators in place, and am still debating on headers. If you do long tubes and kill the cats, then you'll probably want resonators in place... if not you could take them out but I don't know how Kleemann mufflers would sound without resonators.

now i'm thinking magnaflow, corsa or borla possibly for mufflers, delete resonators and do a X pipe.. Real close to what I had on my old Cobra..
Would their be any kind of gains with this setup?
