Tilt passenger side mirror for parking
Wife used this function alot in her last bimmer (tilts the passenger side mirror down when in reverse to avoid curbing rims when parking).
However, the function is not in the convenience menu on the 2007 e63 that I recently picked up. Reading other threads on the tilt mirror function, it seems the consensus is MB took it out of the E-class after 2006 or 2007, but the program is still hidden in the car and can be "re-activated" by their dealer.
Has anyone successfully had this reactivated in their 2007 e63 by a dealer?
Alternatively, did anyone have this activated in their 2007 e63 from delivery? (curious if it is model year issue or a build date issue)
Thanks.

I beleive on my 2006 E55 I just keep the passenger mirror selected and this will make them tilt down when reversing. If you look at the symbol on the button on mine it looks different like the mirror is facing down.

OP, I think you are right, that setting is in the car, I took cls63 to the dealer for some work and then I noticed that after visiting a dealership my passenger side mirror goes down then I am in reverse

Check the W211 forum. There have been several long threads on this.
iirc, the function has been de-activated by MB beginning with '07-on. People tried to get it re-activated thru Star at the dealer but it's doesn't work.
You can just set up the pass rear mirror to point down (keeping the seats, etc. the way you like them) and then hit a memory store number. Next time you back up, hit that memory number. The mirror goes down. Kind of a slow work around, but it's one way of doing it.
p.s., I took my (09) to the dealer and they said no.

To close the loop here, had car serviced and dealer claimed it cannot be re-activated on my 07 E63.
Not sure they tried that hard (don't have a long-standing relationship with this service manager and the shop comments don't seem to indicate that they spent much time on this), but that was the feedback.
Please post here if you have managed to get it re-activated on a 2007 E63. Thanks.
