Replacing Headlights on my 2005

Hey guys,

I have a 2005 E55 and the headlight glass is faded out. I was told it was due to the sun beating on the lights. I think that I need to replace them and was wondering what the best price around is, and if anyone has any recommendations of where to buy.

Thanks

To replace the whole lighting unit isn't cheap...it's $1600 per side if you have Bi-Xenon and $430 if non Bi-Xenon...There are easy ways to get rid of the fade yellowish stain on your light..Get yourself a PlastX and couple of super fine sand papers and buffing pad. I seen lots of ppl done it on their car and I did on mine too. It look brand spanking new..As matter of fact, some of the dealer offer this type of service and I've believe they charge $100-$150 for both lights. Or you can try to find em on Ebay..

Hey Kevin, hows those city lights working for you?

And replacing the whole lighting is definitely not worth the price. Joel is correct as dealers offer a service or detail places that will unfog, and clean up the lights really good for a nominal fee. I believed there was one in central NJ, let me take a peek at a few other forums where I might of seen it and get back to you.

Thanks for the help. I will definitely try that route first. Anthony still has the car so i haven't been able to experience the lighting yet.
