HELP!!! Need to take off the accelerator.

Hi all,

I'm switching out the pedals in an 04 to the OEM stainless/ rubber pedals and I'm having problems detaching the accelerator to switch the covers. Specifically, I don't know how to undo the pin connecting the accelerator to the apparatus above the accelerator or how to get at the bolts connecting the bottom portion to the floor. Any advise would be greatly appreciated since it looks kinda weird with the stainless on the brake and e-brake but not the accelerator.

Thanks,

BT

Honestly I just used a knife and cut the rubber one off. I figured the time I spend taking the pedal off would exceed the costs of a new rubber one if I ever switched them back.

Of course taking the pedal off will make it easier to drill and install the new one.

Taking the pedal assembly off literally takes 120 seconds.

Super easy!!!

The little black dot just pops out and there is a screw underneath the cover, and they the pedal lifts out and toward you. Then just unplug it and reverse...

Word of warning, taking the rubber piece off sucks!!!!!

Hope this helps,
Aleks

Thanks guys for pointing me in the right direction - it's finally done - once I knew what do it did take less than 120 seconds. Very easy and inexpensive mod (for the 03's and 04's) that really adds the right character to the car.
