Midwest meet in Indy
Who would be interested in a meet/drive to Indy? I'm thinking the Chicago crew could meet up on the south side near Ends Mtg's place and drive down to Indianapolis on a Friday night, check in to a hotel, then meet up with J2001 and some of the Indy crew for a dinner or something. Saturday, we could have a breakfast then go for a drive in the Brown County area, as there are lots of great scenic roads in south central Indiana. Maybe have a dinner Saturday evening, too. We can probably set aside a block of rooms at a hotel if anybody is interested.

Nick thanks for taking the intiative. I know after last year's trip to Lake Geneva the Chicago crew has been really itching to make another road trip. Indy sounds like a very good idea and I had also thought of making the trek to Door County in Wisconsin. I would prefer the weekend of June 27th.

I can't make it. If it doesn't require me to drive atleast 250miles I can't do it. 
Actually, any of those dates should work. Oh and Marcus, we could do both trips, it doesn't have to be a one or the other thing. Although I do realize not everyone would attend both trips. I definitely want to do Door County!!

Wow Jason, I uderstand you like to drive, but we really cannot be stopping every 15 miles for you to fill up your gas tank, especially all the way up to door county! 
I am good for whenever, the sooner the better!!!(Just not before June 23rd, I am still in amsterdam!!).... lets plan the door county trip first. I think it will be more fun, I mean what is there in Indiana anyways....

St. Louie is one of the good ideas too! Seriously, we have plenty of great people on here that would/should make the trips we plan. I understand that not everybody can make it to each trip/tour, so we seriously should do several a year. I just chose Indy for the first one this year. I think we should do a mini AMG Powertour, kind of like Lambo clubs do with "Running of the Bulls".

Jason has a great route planned for once we get down there. I figure the cruise and I do mean cruise, could just be taking I65 all the way down.

Looks like June 27 is the winner! I am going to work on picking a hotel for those of us who will be driving down Friday night. As many know, I think this should be open for everyone, spouses and kids will be welcome in my mind. I know many of us have family that might enjoy a good road trip. I think it would be cool to stay in downtown Indy, there are great restaurants down there and it is completely different traffic wise from Chicago.

Since nobody else is voting, and I have to plan things out for my weekends, I am going to set this for the weekend of June 27. I am thinking leaving Chi town on Friday evening, and taking the cruise down. Check into the hotel, and hit up a cool evening spot for a chill out time. Saturday morning around 10 we could have breakfast then go out for a drive(Jason, that's all you) during the afternoon.
