Installed 6000K lows, trying to decide on fog color. Post your 3000K foglight pics!
So I put my 6000K bulbs in the low beams today and they look great. Match the LED city lights I got from autolumination.com.
I have a fog light HID kit on the way, but they put 4300K bulbs in it. I'm going to order another set of bulbs from them, but I'm debating on color. I could stick with 4300K and have blue lows white fogs (which I think would look weird), get 6000K and have blue lows blue fogs, or get 3000K and have blue lows yellow fogs.
I know I've seen a few cars around with the blue low yellow fog look, but I don't know if I'd like it on an E55. Mine is tectite gray, too, so I can't get away with the silvery blue look that you silver sedans can.
So does anyone here have 3000K fogs? Post pics of what your car looks like w/ lows & fogs on.

is it the same as installing bulbs on an SL55? We got my driver side bulbs in today, but the passenger side was nearly impossible so we stopped.. would have had to take the ABS thing off, or remove the bumper...
i made a thread about the SL55 switching bulbs here:
https://mbworld.org/forums/sl55-amg-...y-so-hard.html
If it is the same as the E55 or someone knows the best way for an SL55 please share!

I did 3000k fogs about a year ago and they look awesome on a black car(no pics though, they are yellow dude
) Changing D2S bulbs are a mother on most benz models, It was easy on my old S500 but very difficult on my E55

Changing the D2S bulbs on the E55 was pretty simple, thanks to shardul's instructions. Pop off the ignitor, pinch the steel clip to pop out the bulb, install, clip down, attach the wire to the igniter, pop the ignitor back on.
Cramped space but I have small hands.

I bought the 194 silverstar with heatsink. Single large LED beam facing forward, it's almost bright enough to drive around w/ just city lights at night (similar to the way the CCFL angel eyes on my BMW were).
You will need to buy a pair of their 10-ohm resistors and wire them up. Very simple; attach a vampire clip to one wire feeding the bulb socket, same with the other. Crimp spade connectors onto the ends of the lead wires on the resistors, plug spades into vampire clips. All done! No more "PARK LIGHT OUT" BS or flickering lights! Just superbright AWESOMELY white city LEDs!
I'll get a pic later. In fact, I'll post a DIY. So many people seem to be having questions about the resistors and how they work (including me, before I did this).

Yikes, the 6000Ks are way too blue at night. I ordered some 5000Ks, hopefully they'll give me the pure white I want without the almost pinkish-tinge of the stock 4300Ks.
Anyone wanna buy my 6000Ks?

3000k HID Fogs- 55w but during the day so you cant see the intensity. These bulbs are super bright at night... with them off at night its not remotely the same.
