I sat in the 2010 E sedan and coupe a few weeks ago, and they look better in person, but I still do not care for the new body style. They are too boxy and angular, I much prefer the much more flowing previous body.

Would I love to have a 2010 E63? Sure!!!

Would I prefer a 2009? Yes!

To my taste, it looks infinitely better than the non AMG versions I have seen.

I look forward to reading a real road test, especially how the new double clutch transmission works in the real world.

I saw this car in person (non amg) and didn't want to sit in it. Those big bottons left of the shifter are hideous! And as for those LED's...... staright rice looking and not original. W211 E63... here I come. This 212 is not a good look in my opinon. Lets pray that the after market groups (brabus,kleeman,lorinser,wald, etc...) can save this car from being another fly on the wall. Mercedes has ruined the CL,CLK and now the E

I can't deal with the rear of the car. The tail-lights and exhaust pipes are terrible.

I like the front.
I can live with the interior.

Rear is just too Japanese car like.

What kills this W212 for me is the rear fender flare..it's F**KING UGLY!!!!

At this point I'm seriously thinking about keeping my W211 E55

I saw and sat in several at a preview several weeks ago. That's why I bought a 2009 W211. Sorry, but this is a step down, imho.

That steering wheel is hideous. There's going be a lot of opportunity and money to be by the aftermarket vendors. Maybe MB should have let Kleemann or somebody else design it in the first place.

However, I will miss the tech and performance advances. That's where this car should shine. Edmund's Inside Line has already given the W212 E550 the #1 spot against the 2009 BMW 550i and the 2010 Jaguar XF Premium.

But they did say the design was controversial.

wow, idk about the new E at all....the interior has too much goin on, the led lights I think give it a nice touch, the exhaust and back end are ugly...I think I will be heading a different route in the future and stay away from this car....unless the performance is insane.

My opinion - #1 - hate where the A pillar ,hood ,and fender meet - destroys the lines of the car. #2 the Infinity inspired tailights have to go. #3 The Audi inspired foglamps,yep , they gotta go too. The best part of the car - the AMG button on the center console - Game Over!

if this e63 comes out before i go car shopping and i can get one for a fair deal, i would definitely jump on it, before i did say the back is fugly but its starting to grow on me and im starting to see it as when i first saw the new model SL... beautiful

The @$$ end looks like an Acura to me with the pointed trunk lid. Some of the front end accents are nice touches. I don't care for the side profile as it reminds me of BMW body lines. Never have liked BMWs.
