Ceramic Brakes on 2010 E63!?

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/dri...ffset=0&page=1

I was reading a review on the 2010 E63 making up my mind on it, and i bumped into this sentence "While the standard brakes are reassuring, they started to fade a bit after repeated maximum-effort stops from 120mph, although there will be optional carbon-ceramic brakes to deal with this — for about £7,000 extra."

Can any1 please reconfirm this, or does this dude doesn't know what hes talking about.

Don't see that as an option on what I was given from my dealer.

Not sure I'd want this on a daily driver type of car anyway. When it comes time to replace the rotors, it will likely be > 50% of the value of the car (given how "well" amgs hold their value).

That's the cool thing about composite rotors. They last pretty much indefinitely, as long as you don't crack one, etc.

Big difference between composite and ceramic rotors. Ceramic pads are different, too.
